Want to know a little about me?

Hello everyone...

I graduated from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana in May of 1997. My degree was in Marketing because I needed a good versatile degree because I really didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up. As it was, I spent three years of my ISU education pursuing a degree in Speech/Language Pathology.

When I graduated from college, I took a short detour in a few sales jobs but ultimately ended up working for the Sisters of St. Benedict in Ferdinand, Indiana. I have been a member of their Communications Department since October 1998. My job responsibilities at the monastery are varied. I am responsible for the design aspect of most things that come from the monastery, including their web site, printed materials in direct mail, special displays, flyers, brochures, advertisements, and a host of other things!

When I’m not working at the monastery, I keep myself busy with lots of other projects. I am the coordinator of the web site for the Town of Ferdinand and a member of the Ferdinand Vision group (as a co-lead on the Community Development team). I am also the current chair for the Ferdinand Heimatfest. (Any interested persons who would like to be a part of the Heimatfest, drop me an e-mail! We welcome all help.) I also try to lend a hand to the Tri-County YMCA in our area as a member of their Marketing Committee.

As of 2007, my mom, sister-in-law are co-owners of a wonderfully crafty company called All the Rage. You can shop online to find some great items that you will never find in Walmart... or Kmart... or really, anywhere but here.

And hey, let’s not forget... My husband, Brian, and I are the proud parents of two beautiful little girls. He keeps himself busy working for the Town of Ferdinand. He also serves on the Ferdinand Heimatfest committee.
